Welcome to the Joe Wallace breath of life fund which has been set up in the memory of my dad Joe Wallace who sadly passed away on the 20th of June 2005 after suffering from Mesothelioma.

Joe as many young lads from Sunderland and all over the northeast started work in heavy industry in the fifties, he worked in several ship yards along the Wear and tyne as did the rest of his family. Joe left the yards in the eighties and never really looked back until the past came to haunt him.

Joe was a fit 66 year old in the September of 2004 when he retired, in-fact he was that fit he had worked an extra year but from there he started to get a little short of breath. From the September till February 2005 he had many tests and was finally diagnosed with mesothelioma. By the June of the same year Joe had past away leaving a wife, 4 children, several grandchildren- one here after his death and now one grandchild on the way he’ll never meet.

One person in seven in the UK is affected by a lung disease. Whether it's mild asthma or lung cancer, the British Lung Foundation is here for every one of them and that is why I've choose them to support them.

We are now hitting the "WOW" as we have managed to hit the 10k mark before the close of year two.

Don't forget to donate a couple of pounds if you can, we need to hit the 90k as soon as possible.

Remember that all money raised goes straight to the British Lung Foundation and is locked into reaserch only into all Lung conditions.

Thanks for visiting us today, please bookmark us and visit as often as you like. Any suggestions and help is always wanted so don't be shy and get emailing me.

Please also use this site as a source of infomation.
